LOS ANGELES -- DreamWorks principal Jeffrey Katzenberg and co-head of DreamWorks Pictures Walter F. Parkes today jointly announced changes in the studio's executive roster. Michael De Luca will be vacating the post of Head of Production, effective June 2004. In addition, after focusing on the duties of producing a number of films, including the upcoming releases "Lemony Snicket" and "The Terminal," Parkes and co-head of DreamWorks Pictures, Laurie MacDonald, will be resuming a more hands-on role in the day-to-day operations of DreamWorks Pictures.

They have also chosen to replace De Luca from inside the studio's ranks- appointing longtime DreamWorks production executive Adam Goodman to the post of Head of Production, reporting directly to Parkes and MacDonald.

Adam Goodman has been a production executive at DreamWorks since 1996. During his tenure, he has shepherded several projects and is currently working on the upcoming films "The Terminal," directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Tom Hanks and Catherine Zeta-Jones; "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy," starring Will Ferrell; and "Surviving Christmas," starring Ben Affleck and Christina Applegate.

In making the announcement, Parkes praised Michael De Luca, stating, "Michael has been an extremely positive force at DreamWorks. He is an extraordinary creative executive and a wonderful collaborator, and we appreciate the contributions he has made to the studio during the past two and a half years."

Laurie MacDonald added, "Steven, Jeffrey, Walter and I have worked closely with Adam Goodman for eight years, and we believe he is more than ready to take this next step at DreamWorks. He has a great eye for material, as well as talent, and he has our complete confidence as we look ahead to the start of our second decade at DreamWorks."

MacDonald also mentioned DreamWorks' two senior production executives, Marc Haimes and Mark Sourian, who will continue to work with Goodman, Parkes and MacDonald on the studio's slate. "No one could have come in with more combined experience than Adam, Marc and Mark, and certainly no one could match their commitment to the future of this studio."

DreamWorks SKG was formed in October, 1994, by its three principal partners-Steven Spielberg, Jeffrey Katzenberg and David Geffen-to produce live-action motion pictures; animated feature films; network and cable television programming; home video entertainment; books; toys; and consumer products.
