LOS ANGELES, CA -- Star of television's top rated "CSI: Miami," Khandi Alexander has penned a new multiple picture deal with Doc Hollywood Kidz . In the first of two planned films, Alexander will develop her self-penned children's tome, "Marlowe's Travels," transforming the book into a film for Doc Hollywood Kidz.

Based on the whirlwind lifestyle of a five-year-old little boy - who just happens to be the son of a famous and extremely eccentric film star - "Marlowe's Travels" chronicles the tales of the world traveler, whose Passport looks more like that of the country's Secretary of State on a shuttle diplomacy mission, rather than that of a kid. Doc Hollywood Kidz and CEO Steven Saxton will co-produce in association with Alexander for her Kiss The Sky Productions.

In addition to her current role as Alexx Woods on "CSI: Miami," Khandi has top-lined other hit television series including "ER" and "NewsRadio," appeared on Broadway and starred as Velma Kelly in the touring company of "Chicago." Her role as Fran Boyd on HBO's "The Corner" garnered rave reviews including a "Best Mini-Series" Emmy nod and in "There's Something About Mary," Khandi's the best friend a girl good have.

Doc Hollywood Kidz is a subsidiary of DH1 Studios (
