For the first time in Hollywood, “Soap Girl” is an independent character driven drama led by a female Asian American ensemble.

Maya, an Asian girl applies for work in a seedy Hollywood Massage Parlor and is suddenly lured into the corrupt world of prostitution or is she? As her true motivation is slowly revealed, Maya falls in love with a customer, a virgin poet who steals her heart.

Maya takes her name from the Indian Goddess of illusion. Maya awakes us from our illusions into reality, and in waking brings us clarity.
