Hollywood sets down roots in Metro-Detroit! Detroit is world renown for its leadership in automotive manufacturing, but on June 15th, 2005 it will become home to a completely different kind of factory. A skeleton factory! The Skeleton Factory will be Michigan’s very own motion picture production and releasing company, with offices in Canton, MI and Los Angeles, CA. The ribbon cutting ceremony kicks off with a series of “Fright Night Double Features” at the Emagine Theatre in Canton!

The company is lead by an Executive Board of Advisors comprised of veteran entertainment industry professionals, including a former studio president, attorneys, marketing leaders, and established producer/directors. All of whom are committed to the success of every project accepted into The Skeleton Factory. This new factory is divided into 3 specific areas of business operations:

Production: Provides mentorship and financial support to local film talent. Develops new and intriguing screenplays with aspiring writers. Nurtures the visions of young and determined film directors. Produces original and dynamic genre films for the world market

Promotion: Premiering films in theatrical venues. Hold screenings and appearances at festivals and conventions. Articles and coverage in various entertainment trade publications. Advertise in the leading fan magazines, websites, & bulletin boards. Sponsor fundraising events to support local film community. Attend the world market venues, American Film Market & Cannes. Host in Michigan an annual film and music festival.

Releasing: National/regional theatrical releases. North American cable & broadcast television distribution. License films for International theatrical, DVD, & cable television. Unit purchases by National and regional DVD/home-video rental and retail outlets. Direct sales via Internet DVD/home-video rental and retail sites.

The chief objective for this company, above all else, is to produce exceptional movies in high concept genres. Every picture released will be made exclusively by and for genre movie fans across the globe! Of course, with a name like The Skeleton Factory, you can expect a strong emphasis on horror, science fiction, thriller, & suspense films that will terrify and thrill audiences.
