From accomplished screenwriters to multiple Emmy winners, Carnegie Mellon alumni have enjoyed success in all facets of the entertainment industry.

The WCDAC Screenplay Competition will give exposure to writers who are part of the Carnegie Mellon family. By providing an opportunity to put their scripts in front of top-level industry leaders, the WCDAC continues its long-standing support of Carnegie Mellon students and alumni. 

Notification Date:  December 2008.
Eligibility: Any writer who meets one of the following requirements is eligible to enter the WCDAC Screenwriting Competition:

Any dues-paying member of the West Coast Drama Alumni Clan or New York Drama Alumni Clan.

Any current student at Carnegie Mellon.

Any graduate of Carnegie Mellon.

Any former student of the School of Drama who was in attendance for at least one semester.
Writers who are part of a team are eligible if one of the team members meets the above requirements. Eligibility will be verified. Any entrant who does not meet eligibility requirements will be disqualified.
