1 hour: $40 (by 8/20/2007)
Award:  The Grand Prize winner will be selected by fox21 and will receive a blind script deal to develop a television show either based on the submitted teleplay or another idea. The blind script prize will be equal to the Writers Guild of America’s scale fee for either a half-hour or hour series pilot. The approximate fees are $30,000 for a half-hour pilot and $45,000 for an hour pilot.
Other Awards/Prizes:  Writers Boot Camp will award the 1st place winner with a certificate for Private Consulting (valued at $1,800) and certificates for the Immersion Program to 2nd and 3rd place (valued at $1,295 each)
The top three teleplays will receive Final Draft Pro screenwriting software
The top three teleplays will receive a subscription to Script Magazine
The top three teleplays will receive prize packages that include Festival Passes good for all screenings and parties at the 2008 Slamdance Film Festival in Park City, Utah.
The top three finalists will be invited to a lunch with executives from fox21 and Slamdance at Café Terigo in Park City, Utah (January 2008)
fox21 executives will meet the top three finals for a pitch session in Los Angeles.
 
The Slamdance Teleplay Competition began two years ago with the intention of finding the best original material for television.
Notification Date:  Semifinalist, November 2, 2007; Top 3, December 14, 2007.

Rules:   

Make sure Teleplay Cover is contains the title only (do not include your name or contact information bound in your teleplay).
Only include contact information for the Primary Contact on your online application.
In the event of multiple writers, list the additional names; awards will be divided equally.
Teleplays should be in 12-point courier font, in English, three-hole punched and bound with brass brads. We accept teleplays printed on A4 paper.
Do not include a separate title page, an additional synopsis, treatment, press kit, etc. with your teleplay submission.
Teleplays should be copyrighted or registered material.
We only accept checks made out to Slamdance that drawn on an American bank, and Money Orders or TravellerŐs Checks in US funds. To pay by credit card, fill out a credit card authorization form , and send it with your application.
Include a self-addressed stamped postcard for delivery confirmation. Do not call the Slamdance office to confirm the arrival of your teleplay
