DVD Camcorder that gives you 60 minutes of MPEG2 video recording in fine
mode (high resolution) or about 120 minutes in standard mode. Video
recording is done on a high-quality, 8cm, 2.8GB, DVD-RAM disc housed in
a cartridge, so your recorded images are safely stored and never fade.
You can use your DVD Camcorder as a PhotoShot Built-In Digital Still
Camera to record up to 1,998 JPEG images in 1,280 x 960 Resolution. The VDR-M10 offers some of the highest resolution images in the industry, thanks to a built-in 1.1 Megapixel CCD. This enables 720,000 pixel (effective) resolution for video and about 1 million pixel (effective) resolution for still photography. Since recording is done on DVD, consistent high quality video is assured even with repeated playback and over long periods of storage. Digital EIS compensates for unintentional hand and camcorder movement to help stabilize your recordings, even when you're walking or in a moving vehicle. The VDR-M10 comes with a 3.5" LCD that delivers exceptional, 200,000 pixel clarity. It also rotates, letting you hold it at many different angles while recording, and features a built-in speaker, so you can watch your recordings on location. The Disc Navigation function displays the initial image of each scene as an index, making it easy to know what's recorded on the disc. Users can easily search for images to watch or edit without having to rewind or fast-forward. The VDR-M10 is equipped with a lens capable of a 12:1 optical zoom. This powerful feature acts like a telescope to produce close-up shots with extraordinary clarity, so you won't miss a single detail. The VDR-M10 utilizes both manual and digital zoom, giving you an amazing 48:1 close-up shot. Once the highest manual zoom setting is reached, the digital zoom takes over automatically and blows up pixels to deliver an incredibly close shot. The playlist function lets you easily edit selected scenes that have been marked on a disc. These scenes are displayed as thumbnails on screen, allowing you to create and store up to 99 playlists on each disc. Program AE (Auto Exposure) - With the 5-Mode Program AE, you can prepare your camcorder for almost any recording condition, including: Sports - Ideal for fast-paced action, this mode reduces blurring when recording rapidly moving subjects. Portrait - Changes the depth of field to concentrate on the main subject while leaving the background slightly out of focus. Spotlight - Neutralizes the additional brightness created by a spotlight. Sand & Snow - Compensates for excessive illumination to produce a clear picture. Full Auto - The camcorder automatically adjusts the exposure for optimum recording. |
