The winners of the RIFF Awards 2004 for the best feature film are, in ex aequo, “The Garden of Earthly Delights” by Lech Majewsky (Proxima Prize) and “Luminal” by Andrea Vecchiato (Forum Music Village Prize). The best screenplays were ”The Performance” by Spencer Beglarian (First Prize), “Sotto pressione” by Fulvio Bergamin (Second Prize), “Panne” by Riccardo De Filippis (Best Short Film) The special prize "First Time direction" was given to “Martha's New Coat” by the Australian director Rachel Ward (Coming Soon Prize). For the documentary section, the winner was Pelin Esmer from Turkey, with “The Collector”(CTS Prize). The winning short film is french, “L’homme sans tète” di Juan Solanas (Premio El Aleph). The Italian Short Film winners are, in ex aequo,“Stuff That Bear” by Bruno Coppola KODAK Prize) and “Il viaggio perfetto” by Alessandro Baracco(Short Village Prize). Among the works by Film students, the irish short film “Fall into Half-angel” by Roisin Loughrey won the KODAK Prize. The Best Digital Short is "Il regalo di Natale” by Daniele de Plano who received the Augustus Color Prize. Finally, for the Animation section, Philip Child won with his “An Irresponsonible Use of Frogs” (CITY Prize).
