Fort Myers Beach, FL -- The comedy "Hitters Anonymous" has been added to the films screening at the Fifth Annual Fort Myers Beach Film Festival this weekend. The late addition brings Cuban-born actor Steven Bauer (How The Garcia Girls Spent Their Summer, Raptor Island) and Michele Matheson (Kingpin, Revenge of the Nerds), as well as Director/Producer Monte Young to mingle with fans after the exclusive screening on Sunday, April 24 at 3:00 p.m. at Beach Theater.

Also starring Linda Blair, Clint Howard, and Steve Dvmouchel, "Hitters Anonymous" sets up the conundrum of an assassin with a conscience. Professional killer Theodore Swan has lost the stomach for his chosen career. To help him change his lifestyle, Theodore joins a Hit Man support group.

Aptly named, the story presents a motley group of other assassins trying to quit the business, who commiserate with Theodore. After assassinating a past lover, Theodore is determined to quit the assassination business. Pressured to keep killing by his former boss and materialistic wife, both also Hitters, he struggles to follow his conscience and stay with the program. His only supporter is a beautiful ex-prostitute, a recovering Hitwoman, who forces him to reevaluate his life. Skeptical of the support group from the start, he abruptly discovers Hitters Anonymous is in truth a government sponsored program designed to terminate Hitmen who want out.

"Hitters Anonymous" was co-produced by Mike Sedan and Irv Goodnov. For more information about the Fifth Annual Fort Myers Beach Film Festival, visit the website at www.fmbeach.org . Dates for the Sixth Annual festival are April 27-30, 2006.
