The School
The European Inter-University Centre for Human Rights and Democratisation, based in Venice, Italy is pleased to launch the second edition of the EIUC Summer School on Cinema and Human Rights.

Organization
The Summer School is organised by EIUC with the collaboration of the Venice Film Festival and the sponsorship of UNESCO. The Programme Director of the School is photographer and documentary-maker Nick Danziger.

Objective
The objective of the School is to reflect on the use of cinema as an instrument for enhancing human rights awareness.

Participants
The School seeks to involve 25 participants among human rights practitioners, film makers and producers, and human rights and film students.

Programme
Activities will include lectures, discussions, workshops, screenings of films at the 2006 Venice Film Festival and the development of individual projects.
