Screening Date: June 10th, 8pm Screening Location: Grand Central Arts Center 125 N. Broadway Santa Ana, Ca The MANBAND script follows two music promoters, Louie and Joey, on a new assignment to find the next hottest thing for Reality TV. As former promoters of boybands, it only seems logical that Joey would inspire to create a "Manband." The Television Company plans to film their new creation from discovery to reality. From this point the film takes off, involved in auditions, television sabotage, bad folk music, bad dancing, and a "Manband" of misfits.
In 1998 he won a Dramalogue Award for his stage direction of "The Midnight Court." He has produced a television pilot detailing his early experiences as an emigrant entitled "Dot Ave," and a documentary about traditional Irish Ceili dancing called "A Gathering." He most recently was a recipient of a grant from the renowned Irish Film Board for his script, "The Prodigal Dancer." He also wrote and directed a short movie titled "Paddy Takes A Meeting" which has played at Film Festivals worldwide. His dream is to make movies that make people smile, world peace, and to continue dating supermodels.
