Meet the11 animators featured on the new Best of NYC Animation DVD, as they discuss the direction of Independent Animation in the age of self-distribution. Moderated by animator/historian John Canemaker. The animators are: Aleksey Budovsky, Patrick Smith, Signe Baumane, John Dilworth, Geroge Griffin, Bill Plympton, Fran Krause, Jesse Schmal, Michael Overbeck, John Schnall, PES. Heres a chance for kids who dream of becoming cartoonists to meet a master. John Dilworth, independent animator and creator of the Academy nominated The Chicken from Outer Space will screen some of his work and chat with kids over a light lunch, for ages 6 and up, with adult.
