Hollywood, CA (March 18, 2005)- The First Annual Find the Funny Comedy Screenplay Contest will hold its Gala Awards Night in Hollywood at swanky hot spot Level 3 on April 1 (April Fool's Day) from 5:30pm to 8:30pm. Tickets are available for purchase on findthefunny.com but are in limited quantity.
Hosting the Find the Funny Awards will be comedian Paul Gilmartin, star of TBS's Dinner and a Movie. The evening will also feature well-known faces from both sides of the screen. Entertainment will be provided by San Diego's premiere comedy troupe, Amish Television.
The event will announce the winners of the comedy screenplay contest and present two additional industry awards. A Lifetime Achievement Award for Excellence in Comedy Screenwriting will be given to a legendary comedy screenwriter and the Find the Funny Breakthrough Award for Comedy Screenwriting will be presented to a screenwriter whose voice and original talent has found its way to the box office. Over 100 industry professionals will be in attendance for schmoozing and networking.=
