11th Flashforward Conference and Flash Film Festival Tops 15,000 Total Attendance of Digital Artists and Developers

SAN FRANCISCO -- Nearly 1000 digital design and development pioneers will gather at the 11th Flashforward conference and Flash(TM) Film Festival in San Francisco, March 3-5. Focused around Macromedia(R) Flash(TM), the universal rich client for delivering effective experiences, Flashforward has attracted more than 15,000 Web developers and designers from more than 60 countries to its events over the last four years.

"The success of Macromedia is founded on the interactive relationship we maintain with the designers and developers that use our products," said Kevin Lynch, chief software architect, Macromedia, who will deliver the keynote address at the event. "Flashforward is always a great opportunity for us to get together, compare notes, share insights, and work to advance the technology."

Flashforward2004 San Francisco features the work of the world's best and brightest Flash experts showcased in: four half-day workshops, 22 Seminars, 20 Question and Answer sessions, 17 Ask The Experts sessions, and 11 Technology Showcase sessions. In addition, the three-day event includes a Flash technology exhibition area and a Flash Authors Book Signing Reception and Networking Party. On the evening of March 4, the 11th Flash(TM) Film Festival will showcase 60 Flash projects and award winners in 16 categories including animation, motion graphics, interactivity, art, application, education, commerce, experimental, game, navigation, sound, cartoon, story, technical merit, 3D, typography, and the People's Choice award.

Session topics include Rich Internet Applications, ActionScript 2.0, Interactive Design, Video, ActionScript Performance Tricks, XML and Flash Applications, Flashcom and Streaming, Sound, ColdFusion Integration, Cartooning, Flash Challenges and Solutions, Components, Site Deconstructions, Central Applications, Drawing API, Dynamic Database-Driven Graphics, Business, Web Applications, User Experience, Kiosk Design for Museums, Rapid Application Development, Mobile Device Development, User Interface Theory, Visualizing Scientific Data, Workflow Strategies, 3D, Maya Integration, Accessibility and more...
