WINNERS ANNOUNCED AT THE 3RD ANNUAL FIND THE FUNNY AWARDS:
TALLADEGA NIGHTS AND THANK YOU FOR SMOKING TAKE TOP AWARDS


Hollywood, CA -- It was standing room only at the Hollywood Improv as writers, celebs and industry guests gathered to celebrate the best in comedy screenwriting. The Find the Funny Awards announced the winners of the annual Comedy Screenplay Contest and presented the Osgood, Find the Funny's custom-designed Bobblehead to the best of Hollywood's comedy screenwriters - writers whose work made 2006 a banner year for comedy.

ERNIE HUDSON (Desperate Housewives, Miss Congeniality, Ghost Busters) hosted the annual event. He elicited cheers from the audience when he said, "My wrtier friends say they write comedy and comedy never wins. Well, not tonight. Tonight ONLY comedy wins!"

Celebrity presenters included REX LEE (Entourage), PATRICK GALLAGHER (Night at the Museum), and TAYLOR NEGRON (The Hughleys).

TALLADEGA NIGHTS: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, written by WILL FARRELL and ADAM McKAY, won Best Original Comedy Screenplay. JASON REITMAN won Best Adapted Comedy Screenplay for adapting Thank You For Smoking from the novel by Christopher Buckley.

DANA SNYDER (Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film for Theaters) presented awards to the winners of Find the Funny's Annual Comedy Screenplay Contest, the only contest in the entertainment industry just for comedy. MARK VICKERY won First Place for his script Rock the Continent. DAVID ZARIF and MATT WARREN won Second Place for writing American Sumo, and RICK BARAFF won Third Place for his script Christmas in the Hood.
