Nathan Scoggins
Glendale, CA
Age: 28

Nathan Scoggins burst onto the literary scene at the tender age of 7, with a seven-page Victorian mystery that ended (in true Scooby-Doo fashion) with the villain removing his mask. An inauspicious beginning to writing, but Nathan continued to nurture this passion for storytelling through high school, writing plays, short stories, poetry, and the occasional "Star Trek" novel. As an English major at Wesleyan University, Nathan developed a passion for film and screenwriting. Since moving to Los Angeles three years ago, Nathan has written, produced and/or directed a number of short films, two of which are making the rounds on the festival circuit, and has written several feature-length screenplays. He was a quarterfinalist in the prestigious Nicholl Fellowships competition, and a semifinalist in the Chesterfield competition co-sponsored by Paramount. His proudest achievement, however, remains his baby girl, Ellie (otherwise known as Quiznos' "Baby Bob"), a co-production with his wife, Katheryne.
