Ever since we launched the British Short Screenplay Competition three years ago we have been inundated with requests to run a feature screenplay competition. We have thought long and hard about this.

The credentials of the British Short Screenplay Competition speak for themselves. It is the only screenplay contest in the world that can boast unprecedented support from the industry and if we are to run a feature competition then it must be able to stand shoulder to shoulder with it's older sister and with pride.

So, what should the grand prize be for the winner, cash or produce the screenplay? If it's to be a cash prize then how much? If it's to produce the winning screenplay what should be the budget of the film? Questions that we believe we have answered for ourselves, but we would also like to take your opinion.

We invite you to visit the Kaos Films website on or go straight to there are just four questions, you will not be asked for any details about you. The results of the survey will be published on the website in April.
