| Find the Funny is the only competition dedicated to comedy. The
contest is designed to discover, reward, and promote new comedy screenwriting
talent. Coordinated by award-winning screenwriters, Find the Funny
Comedy Screenplay Contest is a much-needed showcase for writers of one
of the most profitable genres in Hollywood. |

| Eligibility:
18 and over, WGA registered, any form of
comedy. |
|
|
Rules:
-
Find the Funny is open to all
screenwriters 18 years of age and older.
-
Only feature length COMEDY screenplays
will be accepted. All comedy genres and sub genres are acceptable
(romantic comedy, action comedy, dark comedy, comic horror, farce,
etc.).

Entry fees are non-refundable.
-
All scripts must be in English.
-
All scripts must be registered with
the Writers Guild (www.wga.org)
or with the U.S. Copyright Office (www.copyright.gov).

Multiple scripts may be entered, but
each script must have its own entry form, entry fee, and release
form.
-
Scripts by multiple authors are
accepted, but all authors must sign the entry and release forms.
-
All scripts must be the original work
of the author(s). Adaptations and material based in any way on
other media will be disqualified.

Substitutions of new drafts or
corrected pages will not be accepted.
-
All scripts must be in standard U. S.
script format and in 12 point Courier type on white paper.
Formatting software and books are available on line at
www.writersstore.com and other
sites.
-
Scripts must be between 90 and 120
pages. Longer or shorter scripts will be disqualified.
-
All scripts must be bound with WHITE
cardstock covers and secured with two brads. Stapled or hardbound
scripts will be disqualified.
-
White cardstock front cover must have
title and author only.
-
Include a separate, unbound title page
with title, author, and all contact information.
-
Scripts will NOT be returned. Make
sure you keep a copy.
Scripts postmarked after the final deadline will be disqualified.

Screenplays must not have been
previously optioned or sold. In the event an entry is optioned or
sold after being received but before the contest is over, it will
be disqualified.

Entry fee: $40.00 (USD) early deadline
by November 15, 2006, or $50.00 (USD) final deadline by January
31, 2007. Make check or money order out to Find the Funny.

Special multiple submission discount:
take $5.00 off the regular submission fee for each additional
submission.

All entries must be accompanied by a
signed release form and the appropriate entry fee.

The decisions of the judges are final.
