Eligibility:
Applicants must be at least 18 years
old.
Rules:
Screenplays must not have been
optioned or sold at the time of submission.
Screenplays must be the original
work of the applicant(s). If based upon the work of another's life
story, applicant(s) must attach a statement attesting to their
rights to make such adaptations. Neither the competition nor its
jurists investigates or attests to the authenticity of an
applicant's statement of authorship or rights.
Applicants must accept without
reservation the decisions rendered by the contest jurors.
A submission may involve two or
more writers as applicants. Division of the award will be the sole
responsibility of the winners.
Screenplays must be submitted in
English.
No substitutions or corrections
may be made after the script has been submitted.
The script should be in U.S.
Motion Picture Industry standard screenplay format. (Follow
standard industry guidelines for format or consult any popular
screenwriting text for assistance).
Pages must be numbered.
Pages should be three-hole punched
and bound by two metal fasteners. Card stock (heavier paper)
covers are required.
Only the title of the screenplay
should appear on the front card stock cover.
More than one screenplay may be
submitted; however, each screenplay must be accompanied by a
separate entry fee.
