The New York Festivals announced the Grand Award winners in the annual international television programming and promotions awards competition at a Gala Awards Ceremony held at the Hudson Theatre in New York City tonight.

Nominations Announced for 76th Academy Awards(R)

Academy members selected the nominees in their respective branches, with the exception of the Animated Feature and Foreign Language Film categories, where nominations were selected by vote of screening committees. All voting members are eligible to select the Best Picture nominees. The secret ballots were mailed to 5,803 members in late December and were returned directly to PricewaterhouseCoopers, the international accounting firm, for tabulation.

GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS WINNERS 2004

As expected "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King" ruled at the Golden Globes Awards on Sunday. It won four trophies including best dramatic film.
